jerusalem, israel:

We flew from Beirut to Amman, Jordan where we spent the night before taking a taxi to the Jordanian/Israeli border. We were held up at the Israeli border fro over three hours due to having visited Lebanon prior. We were asked many questions about our trip to Israel and so on. They were very nice about it, it just took forever. Eventually we got our passports back and over the border we went.
We only had about three nights to spend, so decided to just stay in Jerusalem and see as much of the holy city as we could. The photos below are of the old city, which is divided in quarters - Jewish, Christian,  Muslim and Armenian. The old city is the most historical part of Jerusalem and contains all of the main attractions such as the Dome of the Rock, Western (wailing) Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulchre and much more. It is also a great place to wander around and get lost.
We will post more photos of Jerusalem in the next few days. Enjoy.
